The face of the ‘High Street Fashion Week’ will be leggy Strictly Come Dancing’s winner Alesha Dixon, who was voted ‘High Street Fashion Queen’ by 10,000 West End shoppers who were asked to vote for their favourite high street fashion icon.

The High Street Fashion Week comes just a week before the elusive London Fashion Week and has the full backing of the British Fashion Council, as its chairman Harold Tillman said: "As we prepare to celebrate 25 years of the British Fashion Council and London Fashion Week in September, we are pleased that High Street Fashion Week on Oxford Street is joining the celebrations and supporting the high street, retail industry and its diverse talent."
