X Factor Goes Gaga

X Factor Goes Gaga

Lady Gaga lived up to everybody’s expectations as she worked the The X Factor stage for the semi final results, writhing around in a giant bath with her zombie-like backing dancers.

Looking bizarrely like a cross between Gwen Stefani a la 1920’s platinum locks and Amy Winehouse with her thick, black winged eyeliner, Lady Gaga looked very inch the superstar.

The uber sexy singer showcased a new look feminine hairstyle with her trademark sunglasses nowhere to be seen. She still showed off her naughty side however and worked her bondage-esque wardrobe by wearing a leather leotard, gothic gargoyle inspired wings and horns and a prism shaped corset that encompassed her hips to reveal her bare legs.

When Dermott asked for some advice for The X Factor contestants she simple said “Be yourself and don’t let anyone ever tell you, you can’t do it.” Sound advice that hasn’t worked too badly for her!

Gaga also revealed that she couldn’t wait for 2010 when she will be touring the UK, so if you’re a big fan check out her official website for more information about tour dates and venues www.ladygaga.com/events

What did you think of her performance of The X Factor and who has been your favourite celebrity performance throughout the series?

Cheryl goes alone with the debut of her solo single

Cheryl goes alone with the debut of her solo single

Girl of the moment Cheryl Cole premiered her first solo single ‘Fight for this Love’ on Radio 1’s breakfast show with Chris Moyles on Monday.

Cheryl, who is well known for her love of fashion and glamour girl looks, has ventured out on her own with her first single without Girls Aloud proving she could be a force to be reckoned with after being compared to Kylie by fellow X Factor judge Louis Walsh.

While Cheryl’s no stranger to being on X Factor if the rumour mill reports are true then we could see her performing her new single on one of the live shows. If this is true how will her singing compare to the finalists? We all saw the performance of Girls Aloud last year and can’t say it was pitch perfect.

Cheryl's debut solo album will reportedly feature the singer in collaboration with Black Eyed Peas star will.i.am who she worked with last yaer as part of a Girls Aloud show, Xenomania and Taio Cruz.

Why not have a listen and let us know what you think? Should Cheryl stick to being in Girls Aloud or should she go it alone?

Welsh Wonder Woman Duffy Scores at the Brits

Welsh Wonder Woman Duffy Scores at the Brits

Grammy award winner Duffy scores yet more accolades winning Best Female, Best Album and British breakthrough award at the Brits this week.

She stayed composed as she accepted all three awards but said that the best album award meant the most to her as it really proves that her last five years of hard work have paid off.

It appears to be a good start to the year for the Welsh warbler as she picked up Best Pop Vocal album at the Grammys just weeks ago, and the new £35m Diet Coke ad campaign she features in was launched during the Brit Awards ad breaks.

Not content with having an amazing soulful voice, Duffy, whose real name is 'Aimee Anne Duffy' has captured the cool sixties style down to a tee. The singer channels the sixties vibe in mini dress, opaque tights and beautiful backcombed beehive.

We at e.l.f. love her look and think it's a style that everyone can pull off with the help of some trusty e.l.f. products. The swinging sixties style is all about eyes so get yourself some Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner and some amazing False Lashes. The waterproof, smudge-proof liner is rich in colour, creating a long lasting defined and dramatic look while the easy to use lashes and that extra sixties glamour that Duffy positively oozes.

What did you think of this years Brits? Was Duffy your woman of the night?

Grammy award winning singer-songwriter, Adele, will appear in a fashion spread shot by noted celebrity photographer Annie Leibovitz in an upcoming edition of Vogue.

The Brit Awards nominee was said to be amazed and frightened at the thought of meeting Vogue royalty (American Vogue Editor in Chief) Anna Wintour. "It was just like the the Devil Wears Prada" Adele revealed.

As well as cementing her fame in the US by appearing in fashion bible Vogue, Anna Wintour herself took such a liking to Adele that she offered to style her for the Grammys - something that many top A-listers could only dream of.

For someone who has been on the scene for just 3 years,  Adele is making waves in both the music and fashion industries, winning counless awards and now modeling for world famous fashion magazine, Vogue.

What do you think about Vogue featuring plus-size Brit darling Adele? Are we finally over the size zero phenomenon?
