Lips go glossy for Spring!

Lips go glossy for Spring!

We love a good Lip gloss here at elf HQ, the glossier the better! With Spring in the air there's nothing like a bit of glossy gloss to perk up your Make Up for a fresh faced and radiant look!

e.l.f. Studio Glossy Gloss is high in shine, ultra pigmented, beautifully packaged and at only £3.50 each - it's a steal!!

These come in a range of 10 shades, from juicy pinks to nude and natural! I am a fan of all things bright, but there's nothing I like more than a nude lip for Spring time!

Here are my top picks from the Studio Glossy Gloss range with swatches and all! Hope you like them! ^^

So whats the verdict and whats your preferred Spring time lip - Gloss or matte? Let us know your thoughts please! :)

Thanks for reading guys!

Love

e.l.f Kamen

Six ways to make lipstick last longer

Six ways to make lipstick last longer

However well you apply your lipstick it's inevitable that you will need to reapply it later on.  Eating, drinking, laughing and kissing your long lost friends all take their toll on your lipstick!  Here are some tips and product ideas from e.l.f. on how to keep your lipstick looking fresh and fabulous.

1) Moisturise and exfoliate your lips using a dab of our Therapeutic Conditioning Lip Balm and then use a damp towel or soft toothbrush to gently scrub the lips until they feel plumped and soft.

2) Use lip liner as a coloured base, we recommend our Feather Proof Moisturising Lip Liner.  Once you’ve coloured in your lips, apply your lipstick. Our 16 shades of Mineral Lipsticks are softly pigmented and hydrating
.

3) A Lip Lock Pencil is excellent for preventing really creamy lipsticks and glosses from bleeding and smudging around the mouth. Apply before lipstick just outside the lip line.

4) For greater precision and to apply less product, apply your lipstick with a brush. Touch up lipstick from the bullet when on the go.

5) Use one of our face powders to blot your lipstick.  After you’ve applied your lipstick, hold a one-ply tissue over your lips. Gently apply dabs of powder over the tissue, enough will go through to set your lipstick. Reapply your lipstick and gloss.

6) To keep your lipstick sticking to your glass, try discreetly licking the glass before drinking from it. It works!

Get Your Festival Face On!

Get Your Festival Face On!

Glastonbury may be over again for another year but there are plenty of other festivals going on this summer and we’re giving you our top tips to make sure you stay looking your amazing self while dancing away.

On those days you’re feeling like you’ve been dragged through a hedge backwards, the perfect way to put some glamour back into your style is by applying some luscious lip gloss.

The e.l.f. Hypershine Mini Mobile Lip Gloss Charms are ideal for some sunny (or rainy) festival fun. With 8 hypershine colours to choose from you can have a different one for each day and night! Attach to your mobile and have your lip gloss on you at all times for those all important touch ups, after all you never know when you may bump into a celeb VIP!

Nothing screams Rock & Roll more than some sultry dark nails. Paint them before you go and it’ll make you look like a punk princess day in, day out, all weekend. Our favourite e.l.f. Nail Polishes for creating this look are plum, black and dark navy.

Our other festival essential has to be dry shampoo. We all know that this product is a godsend, particularly handy for festivals. No-one wants to walk around with a greasy mop so make sure you stock up on a good dry shampoo to keep your locks looking good. 'Batiste' and 'Tigi Rockaholic Dirty Secret' are two great products while festival junkie Kate Moss’ very own hairdresser, James Brown has created a 'Hair reviving Dry Shampoo'  in his Signature Range. If it’s good enough for Kate Moss then it certainly gets our vote.

What’s your a failsafe product you can’t live without at festivals?

Do you need to wear makeup?

Do you need to wear makeup?

We all want to try to impress that special guy in our life, but does that mean that we slave in the bathroom “putting on our faces” or go au natural? Do you think makeup is a must have when you are around your guy or you don’t worry to put on makeup since you “have” him. Do you find you are more inclined to wear makeup when you are single and then less when you are in a relationship? Let’s hear what makeup items you absolutely can’t leave without and why? Or tell us why you don’t wear makeup.
