Sales of false lashes have soared in the past year thanks to glamorous celebrities like Lady Gaga, Cheryl Cole and e.l.f. favourite Duffy all getting in on the act.

False lashes are a great and relatively cheap way to make you feel ultra glam whether it’s for a night on the town and you want the Lady Gaga look or you’re channeling the glamour puss day look like doe-eyed Cheryl Cole. 

The lashy look is getting so popular even the subtly stylish Michelle Obama was seen fluttering her falsies on a recent trip to the UK! Gone are the days when lashes were reserved for drag queen acts and twiggy wannabes, everyone can get great lashes. They’re so popular in fact that stores such as Topshop, Liberties and Selfridges have opened lash bars to get your look updated while you shop.

We all want to try to impress that special guy in our life, but does that mean that we slave in the bathroom “putting on our faces” or go au natural?
